[00:00:00]
Angelo Santiago: Welcome everyone. I'm your host, Angelo Santiago, and this is the We Are The Men podcast, a show that is dedicated to sharing the stories of men who are all connected by a commitment to having a positive impact on the world through the actions they take in their own lives.
My guest today is Jesse Simpson. Jesse is a former U. S. Marine and firefighter turned entrepreneur who traded his childhood dream job for a one way ticket to To Costa Rica. Now the founder and CEO of abundance codes.
He helps business owners fund startups or scale their business without spending their own money. He's also a father with another child on the way. Jesse and I met through the men's workspace, but now I've witnessed him stepping into amazing new things as he deepens into his passion and his purpose and all the things that have led him to Abundance Codes and beyond.
[00:01:00] Super excited to connect with this man again, who I haven't seen in quite a bit. But been watching from a little bit of a distance and curious to bring you on here to talk about what your journey's been like and how you've stepped into exactly what you're doing now, helping business owners, stepping into entrepreneurship, your journey of it, and also how you're guiding others through it, because as someone who's personally stepped into my own Journey of entrepreneurship of creating this business creating this community creating what it is that i'm here to do There was a lot that was unexpected and a lot that i'm still learning And as when I have men on here that have fathers of five children I'm curious to understand what what I need to learn from them about being a father I see you here and I know that you've devoted so much to this Aspect of conscious business and entrepreneurship that I know there's something here for for this discussions for whoever who's listening So Jesse, thank you so much for being here.
It's an honor to connect with you once again And appreciate you taking the time to chat with us.
Jesse Simpson: Thanks, Angelo. Really glad to be here. Glad to be reconnected and connect with your [00:02:00] audience here as well.
Angelo Santiago: Yeah, we also have the common thread of the ex firefighter I also was a firefighter for 10 years and I've met a lot of men through this men's workspace that are current first responders, military, and there's, something there that we have all experienced that has led us to where we are now.
So I'm curious, maybe that comes up in the conversation, but before we start looking too far into the past or too far into the future. I always like to start with the current moment, the present moment. And so I invite you to just share a little bit for us, for listeners, you know, where you find yourself right now, the season of life that you're experiencing.
That's kind of informing like what's coming next ahead for you. what's, what's life bringing for you right now?
Jesse Simpson: Yeah. What is life bringing through me right now? Yeah, I was sharing right before we started going live. I'm in a big, a big moment with abundance codes and also got a new baby on the way. So I'm really, I've been building myself up, building. I've been on a big journey the last. Six years or so. And then [00:03:00] looking back my whole life, just, you know, it's just connecting all the dots and makes a lot of sense now, but I feel like I'm being really pushed to the next level in a lot of areas in my life as a father, as a provider, as an entrepreneur, as a leader, as a business owner, all these different like titles. Although I've kind of done them and dabbled here and there, haven't really claimed them yet and really stepped up to the plate, I don't think. And so now I'm really being forced or given an opportunity rather to step up to the plate Embody The idea of leadership, the idea of entrepreneurship, the ideal of managing that while being a father and a husband and rebuilding my life essentially from where I'm at now.
So it's a, it's a, it's a big, we just hit spring equinox yesterday. And I feel like this is a new year and it's a new opportunity to really. Step up into all those things.
Angelo Santiago: Yeah, I love that. And for people who are listening right now, and maybe they find themselves a little bit In that same boat where [00:04:00] they've been doing a lot of things or exploring a lot of new ways, but they haven't really had that calling up that like invitation to like really focus and commit and step fully into it.
Like what were the signs that you were experiencing in your life that brought you this realization? It's either now or never, like it's time to really, like you said, claim my spot in, in this arena. What, what showed up for you to invite you deeper into it?
Jesse Simpson: It's a great question. I think the biggest thing, because there's, there's a lot of kind of things that come in my mind right now, but, but the thing that the thing is my daughter coming through, she's just about a year old Ellie Hart. Ellie means the bringer of light. And she brought so much light into my, to my wife and I's life.
And she's, she's amazing. And I know she's going to marry someone just like me. I know that what I provide for her. Is going to be an example of what she feels she's worthy of, whether it's my presence, my [00:05:00] emotional intelligence, but also financially. So my intention since her coming through, although I wanted to make money and be successful and be of service and all these things, while I had started my entrepreneur journey about six years ago, 2018, it's just shifted or it's just been heightened because now it's real and I have a daughter to provide for. And my mission is to leave a lasting legacy for her. So I'm just pushing forward and have that. There's been a really big thread of like something larger than myself. That's really kind of carried me through a lot of things in my life, from my lowest of lows to, to now, like my present life with my daughter, which she's larger than life for me.
And she's dry, the driving force in my life. And I know that I need to do this for her, even if not for myself.
Angelo Santiago: Yeah, that, that moment of when new life comes forward and, The realization, I know I had it too, and my son was born of like, okay, there's something bigger at play here. There's, there's that calling in for something that I was not [00:06:00] aware of. A new, a new orientation, a new realization of what my priorities are, of what's being asked of me.
That goes beyond just myself or my relationship. It's like, now there's new life. And I love what you brought through about like, yeah, my, at some point, I know it's way off in the distance, but at some point my daughter will be connected to another man. That's not the me, the father. So it's like, how do I want to show her what it means to, to be a man to provide, to love, to care, to be vulnerable, to, to create that space for her, to feel safe.
Yeah, it's such an important thing. I'm, I'm kind of curious for you in, in the work that you've been bringing through in these startups and business, do you get in the conversation with the people who you work with about their purpose, that, that calling that they're having to step into their own leadership, their own next phase of their journey?
And do you see that, that, that thread that you're talking about, whether it's fatherhood or whether it's like a greater calling really be the catalyst for so many entrepreneurs.
Jesse Simpson: Yeah, that's a great [00:07:00] question. So the the answer that jumped out at me right away was yes, just because like I was attracting a lot of fathers, right. When I started abundance co it's been about a year now, there's just so many new fathers. And just, it's just maybe because that's where I'm at right now.
I'm, I just know a lot of men that are now becoming fathers, even just like last, last month, one of our funding managers had a baby and we had another client that had a baby. So there's just like, it just. All over the place. And ultimately what I'm trying to do here is help fathers create freedom, help them create opportunity that they otherwise wouldn't able to. Be able to create, we really are connecting with those leaders that have a vision that needs something. They see what's going on in the world and they, they have a vision. They want to bring through. And the reality is in our 3D matrix that we live in. We have to have financing for that. So we solve that scarcity problem for small business owners and we provide leaders. Community leaders, business owners, whoever it is, that's ready to step up and create that reality for themselves and their family. We provide the funding, the fuel to make that, make that happen. So it's, it's really present [00:08:00] on all the calls. We always ask it right away on, on the introductory call and our onboarding calls, what's your vision?
How will this, how will this funding fuel your vision?
Angelo Santiago: I love that. That's such a key piece because you know, I work with a lot of men about creating that vision, getting clarity for that vision. And then, if that vision is business oriented or financially oriented, yeah, there's other mentors, other leaders, other support system, other networks that are going to have to.
Be there for men to take those steps, right? I do this visualization that, you know, my, I learned from my wife and where it's like, here I am on one side of the river bank and on the other side of the river bank is that future me, that future vision of like who I am, how I move through life, what am I wearing?
How am I celebrating? What is the business I created? All the things, everything's on the table. And then it's like taking those steps across the river on those stepping stones and, and having the support network. So that. When you do slip, when you do struggle, when you are scared and you want to [00:09:00] turn around, having that community there to propel you forward, to get to the other side is so important.
So I love that you're bringing that, that piece of the financial fuel to get these visions into life. Cause it's true. Like in this world that we live on, it's so necessary. So we're going to dive deeper into that, but I'm, I'm actually curious personally, cause I always like to know the stories of the men who I'm talking to.
Because something shifted, something happened in your life that brought you to this point where you're like, Hey, this is important. I feel a calling here and I want to bring this forward into the world. So paint us a picture. If we were to rewind the tape and go, you know, maybe not all the way to the beginning, but some critical moment in life.
Like what was happening in your life in the past where this, what you're doing now was not alive. That ultimately something happened. And what was that to get you to now?
Jesse Simpson: I like telling the story. It's just kind of funny to me because I never thought I'd be doing credit repair and business funding, but my background military and fire service. So I was a Marine Corps, [00:10:00] I am a Marine Corps veteran, served four years, went on three deployments and yeah, that was my, like, that was my purpose. Speaking of serving something larger than self, that was really the idea of, of service as a Marine and a firefighter will really pulled me out of my troubled youth as a seven, I was in seventh grade on nine 11 and that events. Pop me out of myself just enough to like, give me some focus and give me something to serve larger than myself. So that's been the driving force in my life for since I was a kid is becoming a Marine and a firefighter. So I did the Marine thing. I did the firefighter thing and. There's probably a lot of like avenues to open up within that, but just to stay focused on this, going through those experiences and mostly after the Marines, I learned about the military industrial complex to learn about the, why we were in Iraq and just kind of like the things that we were told that why we were there just weren't true. And, and so that's the rabbit hole to go down, but the fire service was very similar. And what I mean by that is as a firefighter, and curious about your perspective on this too. What, what I, [00:11:00] my experience was is 3 percent of the calls were actually fires. Okay. So what were the other ones? 80, 80 percent of those were medical calls and a big, huge proportion of those medical calls were mental health in nature.
So that's drunks and addicts in the streets to suicides and overdoses in people's homes. So we do help people. We did go on life saving calls sometimes, MVAs, motor vehicle accidents. We did go on fires, you know, a few. But you know, I, I probably worked 50 codes in my four years as a firefighter and not one of those people came back and it just really left me with this, like, what are we actually doing here?
Am I really
being of service? Is this how I want to live my life? Looking forward to retirement and long story short with my fire, my fire career. I started a nonprofit because I was really feeling this call to serve on a different level. I wasn't being satisfied with in the fire department and I started this nonprofit pairing veterans with troubled youth and a mentorship component. Those as a, as a troubled youth, a mentor saved my life in seventh grade. And, and then as I was separating from the [00:12:00] Marines, when I was looking for my purpose, it was then mentoring and volunteering with troubled youth that really kind of. Pop me out of myself once again. So I figured bringing these two together would be just like my ultimate purpose in life. And I started this nonprofit in 2017, just following the death of my, my best friend from the Marines who had died of a heroin overdose. And I just like lit another fire on there. Like I'm going on heroin overdoses, reminding me of my best friend, Paul. And I'm just like, you know, there's gotta be, there's gotta be something more to life. And ultimately. Got a lot of awards with the fire, with the fire department was a firefighter of the year in the state of Arizona in 2017 for going out of my way to help a veteran in need. And that combined with the nonprofit stuff I was doing in the community. But man, it's funny because a month later, I, I was ultimately just completely burned out.
My brother was dying of cancer. My mom was, had lost her job. There's a lot of things that had not been processed in my life from my childhood traumas to my [00:13:00] military traumas, to the life on the job and trying to balance both the fire department and the nonprofit just totally burnt me out. And then the last straw really was that shooting in Vegas in 2017, October, where a guy sprayed a machine gun, a bunch of country music concert goers.
And I'm just like, man, what am I doing here? You know, cause in the Marines, I was a, I was a machine gunner. I shot machine guns at people in combat with the idea that this would protect the people in, in our communities from that happening here. And here it is happening. So that sent me into a really deep depression and just got me reflecting in my life and like, why am I so miserable?
I'm angry. I'm fighting with my partner, laying on the ground, crying. and and ultimately just knew I had to make a new decision, make a big decision. And what that was for me eventually was. Resigning from my childhood dream job, taking a one way flight to Costa Rica. And no real plans of ever coming home and figuring out who I am and why I'm here. [00:14:00] And that's like the bulk of my, my journey up to the old life. And I'll answer your getting to your question now, because it's funny, like connecting the dots. Steve job says you can't always connect the dots looking forward. Can only connect them looking back. And that just rings so true with my life. So after I went on that journey, I. To Costa Rica, started traveling and started my first business. I was a coaching, coaching company. I pulled out my firefighter pension, about 20 K. That went pretty quick on the road. And then I had the rest of my savings and not long after that was eaten up. So we were traveling, trying to start my business and, and then eventually started hosting retreats in Columbia. And if there's any opportunity to, to, to go to Columbia. I would love to share all about my travels, but that we don't have the time for that. But Columbia is by far one of the most incredible countries has totally changed my life. It really inspired me to serve as a bridge to help people connect with the reality of a situation compared to what you [00:15:00] might think is going on in a country. Columbia being Netflix and Narcos and kidnapping. That's what most people think about.
Either way, not my experience. And yeah, so I started these retreats, hosting adventure travel and sacred medicine retreats in the heart of Columbia. And I was using my personal credit card to fund that. And I was trying to pay for my everyday expenses with a business that wasn't yet making money. So I'm racking up personal credit card debt while living my purpose, hosting retreats in Columbia, went on this adventure of a lifetime, and then ultimately came to a spot where the retreats weren't profitable enough to sustain any operations. And I had to really like settle into like, what am I going to do now? And I really had to reflect and, and ultimately had to get a job, got a sales job, entry level sales job, which is a whole, whole nother story. But ultimately my daughter came through and like I said, just last year, things were activated. I'm like, I'm not going to work this job. This is just, I got insurance benefits while my daughter [00:16:00] came through.
That's perfect. But right now it's time to get clear on what I want to do. And I got an invitation after getting some help in the financial game. And I realized that there's a whole world here that I was never taught about. And so I started to go really deep into the financial system itself to understand like what's going on and what the driver was actually was I was paying big chunks of money.
Now that I had a consistent paycheck, I was paying big chunks of money off that personal credit card off every month, but every single month it was right back up to being maxed out. Right. And I, and
I, of course, there's a responsibility that I need to take on like my spending habits to some extent, but I'm like, why, what is this?
And I look in, it's like 25 percent interest and I'm like, what, what, how is that even possible? Like how, how is anybody ever supposed to get out of that? So that really opened up a lot of things for me. And I went down all the financial rabbit holes. I learned our money's unconstitutional. We have a fake fiat currency.
You can explore any of these topics on the other side of this, but ultimately, It opened up this whole, this whole world of the financial [00:17:00] system for us, and I popped through and I found an opportunity within business credit. So what we, what we do at at Abundance Codes is we help business owners get large amounts of 0% interest business credit. So their credit cards, we get 50 to a hundred thousand dollars or more, and we got one client over $200,000. 0% is a massive. It's, you know, you're, you're carrying debt for free, right? It's, it's a huge impact on people's lives. And so now looking back, my entire life has really been focused on fighting for freedom and serving my community.
And I know right now the biggest block from freedom for most people is their finances and the biggest opportunity to create a new world for ourselves and our family is for entrepreneurs to step up to the plate with their visions and bring it to the world. And they, they need funding. So we've solved that problem at abundance codes and pretty much have really reduced all barriers to entry, other than a willingness to get up and go and personal credit score.
But other than that, that's, that's been my journey. And so now looking back, it's clear that the dots connect, I [00:18:00] want to be a leader. I want to inspire positive change in the world and finances is the biggest block from freedom. So I'm right on purpose with what we're doing at abundance codes. And it's great to be here to share the message.
Angelo Santiago: Yeah, brother, so huge. So huge. Thank you. I mean, I'm thinking back at everything you just shared. I'm like, man, which thread do we get to follow here? Because there's, there's so much there. And the thread that I follow is this service thread. And it's similar. I, I like, I experienced that in my story too.
When I look at like, what brought me to doing the things that I did. Through the fire service and you, you checked it and I had very similar experience where it's just like, yeah, there's this desire to be of service, but like, what's that the reality if you zoom out and actually get out from the weeds and see, like, what's, what's the real problem here and same experiences.
I volunteered for about 10 years as a homeless youth outreach counselor in San Francisco. I like taught at like summer camps and stuff like there was always this. thread of service. And so to see where that threat has taken you and where that threat has taken me and knowing that we're doing exactly what we're supposed to be [00:19:00] doing.
But ultimately, I think I want to follow this experience that you're having about like, okay, let's invite these entrepreneurs into to bring what it is that they're here to make the world a better place, right? Because. In the intro, I talk about it like these, the people who I'm talking to are men who have made personal decisions in their life and are taking actions in their life to have an impact on the world.
And so you are connecting these other people, men and women who are entrepreneurs, that they're going to have a very good impact on whatever it is that they're creating. So let's say somebody is listening and they have a very clear vision of exactly what they want to do. And maybe what's in Stopping them from doing it is that financial step.
It's just like, why I gotta keep my nine to five job because I need the, like you mentioned the insurance, I need the, this, and I need that. Like there's a lot of. Things about being an entrepreneur that for a certain segment of time, it's like, you're just testing out to see like, is this viable? Are people going to want this product or experience or whatever it is that I'm offering?
And there is that fear of like, how am I going to sustain [00:20:00] that financially? Before we start getting into like the very fine details of it, it's just like, what, what's the message that you want to share with those people who, the thing that's holding them back is that financial bridge to get across the river to where they're going.
What do they need to know?
Jesse Simpson: Yeah. Yeah. It takes me, it takes me back to that moment I was in when I was, when I decided to, to leave and to leave my job and it's all the things and, and, and do what I, what I had, what I had done. And I think that it's that it's making the decision, making a clear commitment. I think, I think a lot of people have heard of the idea of courage.
It means of the hearts, I think commitments of the heart too, because if you commit to something. Building something for commit to something larger than yourself, whatever it is. Only way to say the course is if you're living from the heart, because there's no doubt every mind, your mind is going to take you to a million different excuses to try to get you to not do what you're [00:21:00] committing to do. But if you're really actually committed. You're going to see it through. And it's because you're serving something larger than yourself. And to me, that's living from the heart. So I think, I think it's ultimately get clear in the vision, commit to the vision, and then take the next step. And the next step always appears. And one thing I'll also share with this is looking back on my entrepreneurial journey, I've started like four businesses now. And I don't think I was actually committed to, to any of the other ones. I was kind of like doing a bunch of different things and it wasn't like my singular point of focus. A bonus goes to my singular point of focus.
And there's a lot of things riding on it. I got a team. Now there's six other people on my team. I got a daughter to provide for. I got one more on the way. So there's a lot of like, Oh, focus. Every successful entrepreneur that I've ever come in contact with says focus on one thing, master that. And then the next thing will come. So I think ultimately that's, that's where I'm at with this and where I encourage the people listening to is, [00:22:00] is really get clear on what you want. Commit to that, take the next step and then identify where there's opportunities for you to leverage debts to build that. So you don't have to, so you don't have to waste your own money, rack up personal credit card debt, which was my mistake.
Angelo Santiago: let's go first down the road of like connecting to the heart and, and having that guide you. And then we'll go down the road of, of the debt and how to actually work with the financial systems that you're offering to support in the building. Cause I'm going to experience from my experience, if I look back on my life, like I am the type of person that has always been like, Oh, I'm going to do this for a little while.
And then I'm going to turn, you know, as an engineer for some time. And then. I explored like, well, it didn't work for that for me. And then I went to the EMS and then the fire service for some time. And now, you know, I'm in this space now where I'm doing, I actually was doing some event management and systems and stuff for an organization.
And now I'm stepping out into my own. So I was like, I've, I've tasted a lot of different things. And for me the [00:23:00] journey was. Learning what aspects of every little thing that I did really resonated with me. And then as I step to the next thing, can I bring that along with me and add to it? And then as I move to the next thing, keep doing it until here where I am now.
It's like I feel really full and I feel energized by all the work that I'm doing. There's an aspect of what I'm doing right now that, The more I put into it, the more I'm like fueled by it. Whereas if I look back on the other jobs that I've had, it's like, I could put a ton into it. And then at the end of the day, I'm like exhausted.
And you know, emotionally I'm drained, like spiritually, I'm kind of like just like left empty. And physically I'm just like you know, whereas now it's like, no, no, no, this is fueling. And yeah, there are challenging moments, challenging days. Cause there's so many other things, right? There's the interactions I have with people, my family, making time to take self care.
So that journey to the heart, because like you said, there's so much up here in the mind that we can rationalize and come up to you. What is like the one key step? And maybe you work with this on your clients when [00:24:00] they come to you with their visions and their business ideas. Like how do you drop them into their heart to be like, Hey, Is this the thing for you?
Is, are you fully in? Cause that has been like the message that I've heard you sharing. Like, how do you, how do you check in with yourself to make sure like, yes, this is it. I'm fully committed. I'm fully stepped in. I'm having that courage to take the next steps.
Jesse Simpson: Yeah, yeah, that's a great question. I haven't thought about like this before. I have like a few things that are coming up right now. And I think that ultimately, like where I'm at right now, and what I what I encourage everyone to do is like, become the best version of themselves, like whatever that looks like. And that means there's going to be a need for being tested to expanding the capacity in different areas. So I, I, I'm all about pushing those thresholds and that's what, that's what I'm doing now. I'm doing different things we can get into if it's relevant, but ultimately like I'm doing this deep end fitness stuff, doing crazy workouts in the deep end of the pool, which is like, for [00:25:00] me, it's like my biggest edge physically is underwater and, and, and, and I've realized, okay, I do not want to do this. That's why I need to do it. So I think there's, there's a lot of opportunity within that, but ultimately it's like thinking about like what that, as far as connecting to the heart, it's, it's like looking back on what's, what it is you're doing this larger than yourself. I mean, if there's like a bunch of self serving needs being met, okay, cool. Congratulations. But if you're not actually here of service. Then you're not actually living from the heart. So I think whenever it is, whether it can be small too, like your grandma or your mom or your daughter or whatever it is, or troubled youth in the community, or just someone who's six months past or backward from where you are now, like whatever it is, a friend, like it doesn't have to be some big grandiose thing. It can be anything. It can be just like connecting with nature. And I think it bringing that flavor in and then also pushing past capacities is what we're all being called to do right now. And [00:26:00] that's what I'm, I'm working to do. And I'm, I'm encouraging everyone that comes in our community and our container to do the same thing.
Angelo Santiago: So let's get to that point now. So, so there's somebody listening right now who has that vision. Who's clear they're connected to their heart. They know that's what they want to do. And they just need to talk to somebody, get some support from your team about like, okay, like what, what are we really going to do here?
Like, what are the actionable steps that I can take to support myself financially as I step into this somewhat scary new venture that is, maybe I do have a brand new child that just arrived and it's like, I'm putting it all on this. I have all these thoughts in my head that what if I'm not good enough?
What if I screw up all, you know, all of that's alive. What is it that you want to say to them that, that not only that you can offer here freely on this space, but The support that abundance codes has to offer for someone in that space.
Jesse Simpson: Yeah, a hundred percent. The first thing that comes to mind is rich dad, poor dad, Robert Kiyosaki. He, he, one of the main like takeaways that I [00:27:00] got from that book is the rich use debt to acquire assets. So it's like shifting the perspective on, on leveraging debts to starter scale of business in this case, or acquire assets, whatever it is.
So I think that's the first foundational piece that you can, you can build your vision without even spending your own money. And that's what I was missing. My entire entrepreneurial career. All right. So the biggest thing, and what we've done at abundance codes, which has led to some friction, to be honest, in our operations, just because we're doing so much and I'm like, should we be doing this?
I don't know. But either way, what we have done is reduce all barriers to entry for people to get a hundred thousand dollars or more. The only thing that is, is really needed is a personal credit score. Of 740 to 760 or above. All right. If you're not there, we do credit score optimization.
So we, we help you get there. The other thing around that is, is a properly structured business, right? And we do a done for you business setup, which is the thing that's kind of like a lot of moving parts. But ultimately we do all the work for you. [00:28:00] As long as you're clear in what you want to do and where you can put money in, that would be .
Valuable for you. And you can start a scale of business or acquire cash flowing, real estate or other income generating assets. Then you have an opportunity to totally sever the cycle of scarcity in your family tree and really build your vision without risking your own personal capital. But Angelo is a few, if I can break down the ideal, like the way this works, because what we're doing is leveraging the introductory offer on business credit cards.
That's it. The value we add is, is a significantly higher amounts. For example, we had a sacred sons brother to come through. He has two 0 percent interest business credit cards. There's 0 percent for 12 months. So an entire year is 0%. That's pretty significant when he went by himself. He got $5,100 when he went through us, he got $80,000 on the other zero percentage credit card.
So that's the value we provide that abundance, but this only works in about three different use cases. So it's important to like, for whoever's listening to like check in, are these, are these real, are these relevant for you? Number one, if you're already spending your [00:29:00] own personal money, your investments, or using personal credit card debt. It's a far superior option to leverage business credit cards at 0 percent for that amount of time. Cause of the worst case scenario, you're going to be in the exact same position you were, but you're not going to impact your personal credit score. You can max out $200,000 of zero percentages, business credit, and it will not. Impact your personal credit score. All right. So that's, it's huge. And that's where I was. That's where I made the mistake. I could have got my retreats going without having to pay 25 percent interest during that. All right. Number two is if someone has, has, has something that's working and their revenue generation cycle is, is less than that 0 percent interest time period. So if you need to scale ads or get some marketing going and you know, you're going to get paid back or a lot. We have a lot of clients that are. They are acquiring product and they need the product, which they then sell and they get paid and they can carry the debt on Fake money on a plastic credit card for that time period at 0%, which is, is massive. So that's starting if you're spending your own personal money [00:30:00] or scaling. And the other ones it's actually come in recently is those that are like net 30, net 60, net 90. A lot of times these are B2B business owners that are under contract with their, The person who's buying or acquiring their product and they, they don't get paid for 30, 60, or 90 days.
There's a lot of those people that are missing out on contracts because they can't afford to sustain operations for 90 days without payment. Well, if you have 0 percent interest, a hundred thousand dollars worth, you definitely can. So that's really the breakdown of who we best serve, but really the only requirement. As far as the person himself is a, is a credit score of 740 or more.
Angelo Santiago: Got it. It is so, so good to talk about because the, there are certain things that maybe it's culturally that we just don't have conversation about and money is, is one of those, like, it's like, you don't talk about how much money you make, how much money you spend, how much was your house costs? Like, where are you struggling?
It's like. You know, men have that I've experienced. It's like, we have kind of this hesitation to lay it all out there. Like, Oh my God, like I'm in so much debt. I don't know what to do. Right. In [00:31:00] the same way that someone might be hesitant to say like, you know what? My marriage is failing. I don't know what to do, but those are exactly the conversations we should be having, because if we don't have people to like, say those words out loud, to, then we carry all that, that starts to like really burden our bodies, our physical health suffers, our emotional health suffers, our relationships suffer.
Like just honor you for putting it all out there. And as you were sharing all that, I want to kind of just kind of start closing it down. And I have one question that it's like, say somebody is listening to them. They're like, man, Jesse, where were you six months ago? Like maybe they've stepped into already putting it all on their own credit cards and being where you were back when you were doing it.
And maybe this isn't the type of person that you individually work with, but from your personal experience, like, what would you want to tell that person that maybe is. Suffering under the load of the debt that they're already carrying and they feel kind of like lost like they're stuck in that like I try to pay it off and it just comes right back at me again.
Like how the heck do I get out of here?
Jesse Simpson: Well, this is going to open up a little bit more. So I know we're running down the time, but I think it's [00:32:00] really important for people to understand that our, our fake fiat currency that we currently have circulating in our society is it's, it's fraudulent and it's unconstitutional. All right. So that kind of maybe open up some rabbit holes, but just know that it's an illusion.
It's an illusion of control. What, what we have is circulating as currency in our world. All right. It's, it's going to lead us into a really interesting spot here over the next few years where prices continue to get inflated. The purchasing power of the dollar is, is It's going to decrease and countries already right now are offloading the US dollar.
So what I would say, number one is, is look into what happens if you can't pay back your credit card debt. Right. And just to give a quick highlight is number one, you won't go to jail. I would look that up just to be double check and your state, but you won't be. Why? Because there's nothing backing this currency that they're making up out of thin air.
And then they're charging you this astronomical interest rate on. All right. So really diving in and I would [00:33:00] recommend, recommend a book called fruit from a poisonous tree. For those that want to learn about how we got to where we are, there's another one called manual for freedom, the peaceful sovereign's path. And these books have really opened me up to what's going on and how we can, we can, Support people. So I would encourage those that are like really in a dire situations to, to use as an opportunity to expand their awareness and their knowledge about what's actually going on and what I mean by fake fiat currency and these sorts of things, because they're really worth catching up on.
Especially if you're the primary provider of your family, you got to know what's going on in this world. Otherwise you're going to be in a really bad spot worse than you are. All right. Number two is ultimately just like Learning that there's an opportunity if you're not in that dire, dire spot, and you spend a little bit of credit card debt, there's all kinds of hacks as far as credit score optimization goes that can work you around this. So you can overcome this one real quick. I'll share Angelo is trade lines. So a trade line is where you become an authorized user on someone else's credit report. All [00:34:00] right. So my wife. Maybe your wife does too. My wife has a, the, the credit card. She's an authorized user on, on my credit cards. So she has a physical credit card itself, but she also has what's called the trade line, which is basically that card. With the balance, the available credit and the age, all very important factors on a credit score, populating onto her credit report, right? So for better or worse, that trade line is showing up on her credit report. Well, there are people that have, or for those of you that have spent a little too much on your credit, your utilization is a little too high. Then you can get what are called these. These are called trade lines. You can look them up on trade line supply. Also, what we'd be willing to do is for anybody that's listening to this, you can mention trade lines on, on a call. If you want to have a call with me or someone on my team, we can give you about $50,000 in available credit populating onto your credit report. It's cost about $2,000. If you were to purchase that on trade line supply, which will decrease dramatically, decrease your credit utilization and open up, increase your score, which will allow you to have more funding. [00:35:00] So just, that's just one example is all kinds of hacks and things we do with the credit score optimizations space.
So I would just say like, get clear on what you want, commit to moving forward on that, make sure it's serving something larger than yourself. Once you realize you need funding. Realize there's all kinds of opportunities that are available for you. That you might never heard of. And that's why we do what we do at abundance codes.
Angelo Santiago: Awesome, Jesse. Thank you for opening up those rabbit holes. I mean, those are conversations worth having, whether you are on one side of it or the other side of it. It's like, I'm all here to have the conversations, to ask the questions, to explore new understandings. Thank you for dropping the titles of those books in there.
And just this advice, both for people who are ready to step into their own entrepreneurial journey, for those that feel overburdened by where they are now with their credit and their finances, like there's opportunity here. And I think like you mentioned, and so many people talk about, like these are just things that we have not been taught.
We have not been taught in school, the financials, the taxes, the financial systems, the entrepreneurship and all this stuff. And now, as I'm a father, it's like, I am looking at that in a [00:36:00] whole new light. Like the journey that my parents sent me on, on like, you know education, institutional organizing, you know, colleges and this, it's like, I look at that path and I'm like, is this the path that I want to, Send my son on or is this there another road that he could be invited to walk depending on what it is that he chooses But I just want to know do I have all the information That I can present to him and let him make his own decision when the time comes so that it's not this kind of like Blinders on kind of living or it's like well, this is what I've been told.
So this is how I have to have to live Because whether it's the financial thing or marriage, relationships, personal values, like all those things, it's like, we are living in an era of like opening up, taking down the walls, taking down the armor, fighting against those that are trying to separate us and coming to a reality that we're all in this together.
So thank you for bringing that. Before we close up, I'd love to ask you if somebody's heard something you said, maybe they're like, Hey, this is the guy I want to talk to you about my business. And I'm going to really, Like [00:38:00] commit to myself, like you talked about, am I going to take that scarier path possibly, but really ultimately more rewarding path of service that's connected to my heart.
